There are several events around Los Angeles taking place after Dyke Day. None of these events are affiliated with Dyke Day officially, but If you want to continue the party/fun please make your way there.
How can I get to Dyke Day? What is parking like?
Because parking is VERY LIMITED we highly recommend ride-sharing, public transit, or carpooling!
THERE WILL BE A DESIGNATED RIDESHARE DROP OFF AREA LOCATED ON FIGUEROA IN FRONT OF THE PARK. CLOSE TO THE DROP OFF SPOT WILL BE A DIRT PATH LEADING TO THE MAIN STAGE AND MAIN INFO/MEDIC/MERCH TENT. OUR CREW AND VOLUNTEER TEAM WILL HAVE BADGES ON, SO PLS ASK IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE. PLEASE SEE OUR MAP ON THE SCHEDULE PAGE FOR LAYOUT OF PARK.
🚃 OPTION 1: Take the Metro! Take the A Line (former Gold Line) to the Southwest Museum station. Then just walk off the platform, dance on down to Figueroa & you’ll see all the beautiful Dykes and Queers in the park right in front of you.
Don’t live near the A / Blue Line? Drive to the Heritage Square A / Blue Line Metro station, take advantage of their free 72 hr parking, then just hop on the Metro A / Blue Line for one stop to Southwest Museum station.
🚙 OPTION 2: Rideshare with friends! There will be a designated rideshare pick up and drop off spot on Figueroa (in front of the park).
👯♂️ OPTION 3: CARPOOL with your group! Very limited street parking is available on Figueroa. Limited parking also available on the south side of the 110 freeway on S. Avenue 52. Park and use the pedestrian bridge and tunnel, which outlets behind the bandshell main stage area in Sycamore Grove Park.
🚘 ACCESSIBLE PARKING:
ACCESSIBLE PARKING: We have limited accessibility parking available on site, which operates on a first come, first serve basis. Due to City/Park Rules a valid ADA Placard is required.
The ADA lot entrance is on Avenue 49 at the corner of Figueroa St. This lot unfortunately often fills up with residents and other non dyke day people. We have no control over this and we are sorry.
To ensure that these spaces are reserved for those that need them most, please ensure you display the appropriate placard. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Is the Park Accessible via Wheelchair?
Yes the park is accessible for wheelchairs and other mobility devices. They are paved paths in the park shown in grey on the map and the grass can also be traveled. This is a crowded event and we do our best to open up additional pathways on the grass between paved paths. The edges of the park have some small hills and level changes. We will also have ADA compliant portable toilets for the event. The only stairs in the park are up the stage which is for performances and staff only.
Will the Main stage have an ASL interpreter ?
Yes we will have a team of ASL interpreters on the main stage providing their services.
Where is the best place for Kids?
We love kids of all ages at Dyke Day. The kids area and tent is located to the left of the main stage toward S Ave 49. This area has kids programming and activities. Please stay and supervise your kids.
What happens at the Performance Tent?
Musical performances will be taking place here all day. We aim to bring you music of all genres to listen to. The area around the performance tent will be loud for the duration of Dyke Day.

What is Dyke Day like?
Dyke Day is a gathering of Dykes of all genders and anyone who enjoys community. Everyone is welcome. This event has several thousand people spread out over a large park area. Think of it as a giant picnic with a stage with performances, music, dancing, community tables, and fun. The event is in June which means it is usually warm to hot. This is a great day for comfy shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. There are food trucks which are often busy. Planning to come early, bring a picnic, and find a spot is our best advice. If you are nervous about attending, the best way to meet others is to volunteer!
I love Dyke Day and understand that it’s a volunteer run org, how can I support them?
We fund raise yearly to be able to afford to pay talent, supplies, porta potty’s, our vendors, permits, and even the toilet paper we replenish the porta pottys!! A donation to keep us living is greatly appreciated!
